#ShopLocal: Jeankelly Baby Bag

Being pregnant with your first child can be incredibly overwhelming. You know that you need to start getting things together for your little ones impending arrival but it’s also hard to know what you really need and what is really not necessary. One thing that I knew that we would definitely use is a baby bag. We looked for the perfect bag for months (this sounds like an exaggeration but we honestly did).  I’m a stay at home mom and so (to keep sane) bug and I go out almost every day – whether it be grocery shopping, a visit to the beach, catching up with friends at coffee shops, or wondering around Woolworths simply to beat the heat. Our baby bag goes with us wherever we go. I knew that this would be the case and so I wanted it to be something that I actually WANTED to carry around.

We also wanted something that my husband wouldn’t mind carry on the weekends – he had already told me that he didn’t want to be walking around carrying a baby bag that looks like a handbag or with floral prints, and so the search began for a baby bag that we both liked.

We discovered this Jeankelly baby bag at a baby expo, bought it immediately and have loved it ever since. It’s the perfect size, has lots of pockets to keep all the bits and pieces that you need for a baby, and is super stylish (bonus!). We have literally received compliments on it every single time that we’ve used it. We have the classic rustic leather bag which you can find here. It’s 100% leather, is waterproof and because we bought it at an expo, ours included the change mat, pram clips and a dummy clip. The pram clips are a must have! They are useful for so much more than just holding the bag – think toy clips, dog leash clips, key chains, etc. The workmanship is incredible and I am sure that this bag will be used for many years as a laptop bag/ overnight bag/ hand luggage bag/ the list of potential uses is endless.

What was your one “must have” baby item?
